Welcome to my blog where I share my thoughts on what it takes to be a Christ-follower in a post modern Nigeria. Faith, truth love and the gospel!

A husband, father and engineering professional who has been a Christian for over 20 years. I was converted in Pentecostal/charismatic circles and held various position in churches and fellowship in the first decade of my christian walk. As soon as I started carefully reading the bible (one may wonder why I was not carefully reading the bible before…), I saw glaring inconsistencies with what was in the text and things I had believed and preached/taught. Repentance followed and a new zeal to defend the truth that can understand and have applied to myself became the next line. Over the years in my little sphere of influence, I have come to see that a more sinister issue was at the core of my propagated error – the disregard for the scriptures. Although I professed it repeatedly, I didn’t TRULY BELIEVE THE BIBLE WAS INFALLIBLE AND SUFFICIENT for my life as a christian. At the heart of the matter was my foundation in extra-biblical authorities and experience of men over the inspired text. This was not just my fate but also that of countless millions in my generation.

This blog is a product of those occasional social media posts and discussions. It is mainly focused on the Nigerian context and could be useful for other circumstances as well.

I write lending my voice to the push back against falsehood that has plagued the church in Nigeria. I also write to present the gospel clearly perhaps God will save his elect through this medium.

Enjoy, engage, disagree (or not), but by all means ponder on the issues and get your convictions right as we live in perilous times here in Nigeria especially in the church. Behold the bridegroom cometh Matt 25:6.
